PROCESS ANALYSIS FOR MANUFACTURER OF SURGICAL PRODUCTS
New Jersey - March 2005 - Clear Blue Business Technology Solutions, has completed a detailed process analysis for a major manufacturer of surgical products. A model was created to visually map out the entire business process, identifying all activities involved and their relationship to each other. Focusing on the interaction of the business process with computer systems, a separate data flow diagram (DFD) was created as a companion to the process model. Documentation accompanying the DFD described in detail the type of data captured or transferred, including the methods and conditions of the data transfer.
A detailed analysis document summarized the entire project, including high level business requirements, gap analysis, product pricing model details, impact of current IT projects that affect the processing and fulfillment of product orders, business and system processes that place challenges on the product cost accounting, and recommended solutions and improvements. With this information the client has laid out a comprehensive strategy for system improvements.
